1977 Fender Jazz FS

Sign in to disble this ad
Back in the closet it goes! No longer for sale.

This is an amazing bass and is as close to perfect as a 32 year old bass can be.

The bass has a bit of checking on the finish and a couple of dings. All pots, wiring, etc. are original and the frets are in great shape.

When I say all original, I mean, case, pick guard, both covers and thumbrest (even screws) and even the original warranty card. I found the original 1977 PUs to be a bit old school for me and I replaced them with new Fender MIA PU. I will include both sets with the bass.

In late '70's Fender terms... It isn't light nor is it a boat anchor. Just over 10lbs.

It balances great. I just did a 4 hour gig with it last week and I used a $10 woven Levy's strap and had no fatigue issues.

See new pics in OP.

After playing this bass and taking some new pics, I will be keeping this if it doesn't sell in the next couple of days.

Bunch of people interested but nobody has pulled the trigger.

No offers and no trades. Sorry, this bass is too nice to sell it for any less.

Canadian buyers.... there are 3 local folks looking at this but nothing confirmed... if you are in the GTA and can meet me between Mississauga and Oshawa... $2200CAD.

Thanks!

My kids thought the cover looked cool, so I put it on for a change!

The only reason I am selling it is that I don't feel bad when I scratch or ding my beat up '73 Jazz or '74 P! 13 basses is too many IMO (and my wifes!).

This one is too nice for me!
