1977 Rickenbacker 4001 - Autumnglo / Walnut - SOLD!

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!

Back up for sale, now that the pickup has been replaced.
I'm still not sure if it's Autumnglo or Walnut, so I put both.

It now has a vintage 1975 bridge pickup installed, and it works perfectly. It was rewound, and sounds great. I'll be including the original dead '77 pickup as well.

This '77 Ric has a super slim neck, NO cracks anywhere on the neck or body. Couple of dings, small dents, and scratches here and there. Certainly never bothered me.
Super low action. Plays almost effortlessly. I'm not happy to sell it, but I just bought another Jazz bass today. I'm insane!

It's all original except the strapholders have been replaced and moved about 1/4", the 1975 rewound bridge pickup, and 1 screw for the mute section (no mute felt either).

Gigbag included, sorry, no case. Dropped to $1575 shipped within the continental U.S. Paypal payment.
This is a fantastic player's bass.

(The dirt line in the pickguard small crack under the neck pickup has been cleaned as well. Barely visible now.)

I'm sorry, but I don't know. I bought it that way. There is certainly more winding then the original '77 pickup though. It measured 7.54 on the ohm meter prior to installation.

If I hadn't just got my 1997 fireglo last week, I'd be all over this. As stated by others, the color is killer. Absolutely beautiful!
