Send me your offer, you might be suprised.

S8 = later than '77. Pickguard does not appear to be original.

This is a 1977 all original. check your serial numbers. I did.

Plus the neck heel is stamped 1977. and all numbers match.

Not to mention, I have seen pics of this bass from the seventies as I purchased this from the original owner. It is indeed all original. type 1977 precision into google and you will see numerous pickguards identical to this one.

I highly doubt you guys have seen this exact bass on here, but I suppose anything is possible!

I purchased this from Eddie Money's guitar player, and he had no idea about this site when I told him about it.

14th fret is very weird, no idea what is going on with it, but it appears to be under the finich on the fretboard! weird little bit of mojo!

Thanks for the interest guys! have had a plethora of interesting offers, but keep them coming, still very available!

Thanks and God bless!

P.s. the 14th fret thing is weird, I have been scrolling through pics for quite some time, and I haven't seen anything like it. Like I said, it appears to be under the finish, any ideas guys? maybe a factory flaw?

Can you show us a better picture of it? Hard to tell from what I'm seeing in those images.

honestly I have no idea, and I do not own a scale. If I would have to say around 9 pounds probably? a little heavier than my wick which is eight.

I didn't mean to say I necessarily saw that bass on Talkbass. Probably though I've seen that 14th fret anomaly somewhere else. Maybe on another bass.

This reminds me of a story. Someone I know overheard Eddie Money in a conversation that went like this.

Fan: "Hey! You're Eddie Money!!"
EM: "Yeah yeah ... 'Two Ticket's to Paradise'... now where's the crapper?"

Great story. Then end, by Dave.

sry, I should have stated better, it is not stamped 1977 but the number inside helps date it apparently. I made the mistake when I took the pics of not taking the heel... I am dumb... BUT I remembered everything else! I will take some more later maybe if there is enough interest...

I've got something similar going on at the 13th fret of my '75 P, no idea what it is:
