1978 Gibson RD Artist, project bass - SOLD

Here's a fun one for a project. 1978 (I think), Gibson RD Artist bass. It weighs over 10 pounds, the Moog electronics are missing and replaced with EMG pickups. A NOS pickguard is included that I found on ebay, as well as the beat up case that might be original. I have no idea about it though.
The back of the headstock has stamped "BGN", which I assume meant "Bargain" from the factory, or factory 2nd.

The good news is that the neck and fingerboard are in great shape. It plays really well.

If someone wants to bring this somewhat rare classic bass back to life, it's $450 shipped within the continental U.S.

Low action. Straight neck, nice ebony (I think) fingerboard.

Dammit!!!! I always miss stuff like this. The Gibson RD is on my GAS list big time and I don't have 2K$ to buy one off ebay. This was a great deal. I would have grabbed it if it was still available.
