I'll give it a go on here before I toss it on ebay, I've got some bills to pay and there's some other gear I need, and in the year or so I've had this bass (again, it has crossed my path twice, I thought it was a sign to buy it again) I've played it under ten times after having the frets beautifully redone by Shuriya Guitarcraft you can google and check out his level of work. I had the surface of the fretboard refinished before the frets went in so it can be refretted in the future without the refinish on the board. The refinish matches the aging of the finish on the headstock -perfectly-.

Sunburst, everything functions and works, missing the string mutes (it had 'em the first time I had it). Two saddles are not original (where they went between those times I owned it puzzles me) and one knob is missing. One knob I purchased off of ebay claiming to be a knob for a 78 Stingray, however it doesn't match the one original knob from the bass.. so i think I paid $75 for who knows what.. but just being totally straight up on the bass.

I'll take trades in the forms of: Yamaha NS10m monitors, Music Man Stingray I or II guitar, G&L SC-1 or SC-2 guitar, Avalon VT737sp mic pre.

If you've got an idea, email me, I'd rather put this into the hands of someone who's going to play it rather than keep it in its case as I have.

$1800 OBO, I'm in Vancouver, BC. I'll cover the first $100 of shipping, comes with a G&L hardcase, your choice of shipping, though insurance is mandatory!

Free bump for a killer Sabre. iIve played that bass, and it IS the Shiznit. Aidan, good thing you're not in another G&L phase, my guitar rack and wallet might get lighter! How's the split-level Jazz bass doing, did it survive the UK tour?

Craig M./ aka El Tookay on BABP....

Oh! What do you have G&L wise, I could work something out I think! I wouldn't mind an L2k, LB100, SB-2...

The Jazz didn't make it back and I had a horror story with the SG, though I did bring back a 70s Hohner tele (72 style) and that was the score.

As much as your L2500 is a beautiful bass, it unfortunately has one too many strings for my application!

That Sabre has a ridiculoously good looking fingerboard for a thirty year old bass!
