Thumbs up 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Azureglo Blue

I have had this 4001 for about a year now and the band loves how it sounds and looks, but my pocket book needs refilling so I have to sell it. We are not a professional band just a garage outfit and they said they were ok with my upright as well.

I put on Ernie Ball flats and play it with a Mark Bass 15" and it sounds great. The action is very very low and there is no buzzing at all. Others who have played it called it "a keeper for sure". The frets are good and there is just minor wear in a few places that I can show with additional pictures via email.

I bought it from Olivia's Vintage and paid $2000 for it. I added the new strings and vaccuumed out the original hardshell case. So it is in same shape (or slightly better) than when bought. My asking price is $1995 and I will include shipping for free to the 48 states (ex HW & AK).

The comment about the upright is just to make sure y'all know I am not letting my friends hang without adequate bass representation.

The Azureglo is in excellent shape especially for its age.

The strings are new, the frets are great and the action is fast.

This is a great vintage guitar!

Damn I remember that one. I was seriously thinking of picking it up from Olivia's about a year ago. Bump for the best Ric colour ever.
