1980 BC Rich MockingBird Bass-$1200 -EXC and Original-L@@K>>>>>>>))))))))- Had this fine Bass up for trade but I have located a Rickenbacker 4001 that I want to purchase, so i've lowered the price to $1200 for a quick sale only( unless you have a Rick to trade ) Shipping will be approx $50 East Coast and slightly more out West Here's the details- All original 1980 BC Rich MockingBird in EXC condition, all original fully functioning electronics and preamp, OHSC, plays and sounds truly amazing.Very little fretwear, finish is excellent.
Recently setup and had a new 2 way truss rod installed by Ben Chafin, low action with no fret buzz and killer tone!
( Master Luthier Chafin Guitars and Tampa Guitar Repair - Guitar Repair of Tampa Bay )
This bass was played extensively in the New York City Pro scene(even though it looks nearly mint) and was supposedly owned by Bernard Edwards of the band Chic. Call me anytime in St Pete, FL at 727-735-5350

I have been on the Gear Page for many years (Juicyproducer) and I am a dyed in the wool fine gear fanatic, and this bass is no exception.
I would still consider trading towards a nice Rickenbacker and I can add cash, who knows?
I'm easy to deal with, feel free to give me a ring if you have any questions.
I can be reached at 727-735-5350, and thanks for looking!

Consider this a bump for a bass that can cop the Stanley Clarke tones and then some!!! String it with 30-45-55-75 and make it a Piccolo Bass PM's returned and thanks for the interest, someones going to be VERY happy with this one

Oddly, my last initial is "T" (as on the truss rod cover) and I'm a Libra (as on the control panel cover)...coincidence?
My wife will kill me if I snake this....

I had someone ask about the different color of one of the pickups covers-
The cover MAY have been replaced but the solder joints appear original and undisturbed indicating the pickup is original.
I have had other pickups( mainly DiMarzios and Fender pickups) that the plastic covers have aged differently but were certainly all original.
( Has anyone else had this same experience?)
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns, thanks!
PS- the letter "T" on the truss rod cover was a water slide decal, and I easily removed it, so now anyone can buy it, Not just people with a name that starts with T

So, day before yesterday I restrung the 'Bird with 40-95s and did some pickup adjustments and with both pickups on, rotary switch rolled open, preamp on, and all the mini switches in the Up position, I was able to get a pretty good Rick-O-Sound out of it, in addition to another dozen great sounds.
So I decided to keep it,what a killer bass, and wouldn't you know, someone calls me and wants to buy it!!
I said let me think about it, I'm firm on the price, I'll let you know.
Well today, my good mate Barry from The Wholigans( a killer Who Tribute) calls me and says he wants me to play bass in a new project doing Old School British Heavy Metal, from Black Sabbath to Zep, Priest, etc...
So that settles it, I'm going to hold on to it
Thanks for all the inquiries, if someone would have traded me a Ric, that would have been OK, too, but it all worked out for the best!!!

So, $1200 FIRM plus shipping and the Mockingbird can be yours.
Sorry to be so wishy washy, its a killer bass, but I realize I really have to part with it.
The sticker on the back cover is easily removed with Goo gone, but if you are a Libra, you may want it!!!
Feel free to call me if you have any questions, thanks!!
