1981 G&L L-1000, Ash/ Ebony/ Slots! - Canada/ US 48

Great bass that I really don't want to sell- fuggin' taxman...
1981 G&L L-1000 built in November 81, chrome everything, black bridge, sweet ebony fingerboard, frets have lots of meat left on them, has a bunch of finish checking, but in really good shape for being 32 years old. gorgeeous grain in the ash body, weighs in at ten pounds on the good ol' bathroom scale, everything is original on the bass. Electronics are 100%, untouched, and sound huge. Truss rod is fully functional, but in the interest of full disclosure, the neck is fussy about strings and takes some time to settle into a different set. Currently wearing HiBeams and the action is set up pretty low, but still can get a bit of buzz around the 17-21st frets. Not bad, but it's there. Doesn't buzz with flats set up for medium low action. ( Of course, a wise bassist once said," Ain't no money past the 5th fret anyways...") Neck profile is very much like a '59 Precision...very thin and flat and 1-3/4 wide. Not a museum piece, but very well cared for. I used this one for a lot of country and rock gigs and recordings...never failed to satisfy and sit low and fat in the mix. Comes with a period correct OHSC with the brown fur interior. Case is fully functional, although one latch has a bum spring, tolex is less than mint, but the case is there to protect the instrument, right?

Lets say $875 shipped US 48, can do better for the Canadian kids. All youse local cats, hit me up.
