1981 L-1000
Ash body, trans-red finish, slot pole pickup. The body has a few nicks and some weather checking in it, and shined up pretty nice!
Has a period correct L2000e maple neck; frets in good shape, some round-wound wear thru the finish on top of the f/b, one substantive ding on "the thumb side" of the neck up at position 9 or so. My local luthier says this can be "filled to nearly not noticeable condition" with maple sawdust and glue, and spot finished over, if it bothers you. It's never bothered me enough to pursue.
The hardware is all in decent shape; and I've not cleaned or polished it other than to wipe it down. The knobs still have all their chrome intact; stock straplocks were replaced with ooold school dunlop straplocks by a p/o...
Sounds and plays as a great vintage L1000 should!
Comes with later model G&L hardshell case.
