1982 G&L L-1000
This thing has seen some serious action.
It has a lot of wear including worming, finish checking and some battle scars that go through the finish.
As you can tell, this is a slot pole, my favorite iteration of the MFD. OMG switch works as expected, bass plays great and just flat out kills any P bass I have seen, and in single coil mode it can take down most Jazz basses to the mat on anything other than the jaco tone. IE; the bass can get a very clear, piano like transparent tone with the right settings.
This bass is 100% original in the original hardshell case (I have the knobs). The case has some signs of wear, but still works great.
This is very light for an L-1000 8.5lbs
$800 shipped to the lower 48 states.

Hmm, have to think about this one. I have it's near exact opposite slot pole sibling: fretless mahogany/ebony L2K with chrome control plate and bridge.
Plus, in my bass brain, there is no thinking about a L1K without also thinking about the magnificent Dee Murray.

slot-pole wunkay bump. and a light one too... so tempting.

How're the frets?

The frets are really good actually. It has worn flats for most of the time I have owned the bass. No ski jump, low action and no buzzing unless you dig in super hard and then only on a couple of the upper frets; specifically D string 17 and 18th frets. It does not buzz for me when playing normally and I am not a light touch guy.
Truss rod works both ways.
