Sold on Ebay for 350 + shipping (395 total)
This is a very nice example of a Peavey T-40 from 1982 or so, per the serial number. This is the natural finish. All electronics are original and work perfectly.
It will come in the original molded plastic hardshell case. The case does not have the original lining, but otherwise is in good shape.
It's been played but it's in great shape. It was my first T-40 but I've since found my ultimate T-40 (sunburst with rosewood FB) so it's time top let this one go.

US Postal Service is telling me it's "too big to mail" and Fedex/UPS are quoting $150-170 shipping to your location. I might be being a bit conservative on how big this thing will be but the bass itself weighs north of 12 lbs and the case adds at least another 4-5 on that. Then add packing and it's up to 25lb (12kg).
That said, PM me if you're still interested or have other ideas regarding international shipping. |

I went from a package that was 54x24x20 (inches) and 25 lbs to a package that was 36x24x20 and 18lbs. I guess it's still a big heavy package to them. If I were a little closer to the border, it might pay to drive across and mail it at a Canadian Post Office. As it is, that'd be at least 4 hour drive for me. I'd like to get it to a TB'er, but not that bad... |

Any issues functionally or cosmetically? How are the frets? Scratchy pots? Does the truss rod function correctly?
ANY issues?
Thanks.

No functional or cosmetic issues that I can see (other than a little wood grain oddity just to the left of the pickups on the front). The frets are good to great for something that's pushing 30. No scratchy pots. Never had to use the truss rod, nor did the guy I bought it from (who'd had it since the mid 80s), but I assume it's fine.
That said, it's up on eBay right now and I'm going to let the auction run it's course. If it doesn't sell, I'll update here. Or just keep the damn thing. Quote:
