Up for sale is a early 80's 4001 Rickenbacker Bass. The bass is in good solid playing condition. No breaks or cracks in the wood. Bass does have checking in lacquer but it is purely cosmetic. The bass does have a yellow creamy look to it. The bass used to be pure white but over time the lacquer oxidized. Giving it a slight yellowish color.
All the Electronics in good condition, the pots work smoothly, and pick up selector works. The mono jack works fine, The stereo jack might need replacing. It still works but for it to work I need to slightly pull out the music cable.
This bass sounds great, It cut's through the mix. Not to "trebley" or "bassy" It has been well taken care of and never abused.
Comes with original case which is also in good condition.
