1983 G&L L2000E Fretless / Canada, US 48

Fretless Tookay E series with some historical significance...round-lam ebony board on a bi-cut neck with the original headstock. Here's the thing... date stamp on the neck is Feb. 15, 1983...the very day that CBS/ Fender's law weasels served G&L with a 'Cease and Desist' order. This is the last of the original headstock shapes. Maybe not a really big deal, but them's the facts.
Weighs in around the mid-high nines, probably alder body, everything works 100%, strung with DR SunBeams, low, low action with lots of growl and mwah, faint shadowing on the ebony from rounds...I've been using mostly Chromes on this one. neck is smooth, had one dark area, probably from sitting in a stand for a long period of time. some nicks and minor dings, but has been well cared for. Black crinkle everything is in great shape, small hex pickups and second generation preamp means you get all the tonal flexibility and control you could ever want. No truss rod issues here- seems that the early bi-cut necks(83-88)had no real problems. Ships in a molded G&L case that is functional, but about a 6/10.

Should mention that the neck is finished in nitro, and measures just under 1-11/16 at the nut. And very thin and fast. One ding behind the third "fret" position, position markers are on the note, as a true fretless should be.
