1983 Music Man Stingray

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a Music Man (not Ernie Ball Music Man) 4 string bass. Date of manufacture April 4, 1983. Ser# B022245. This bass is in excellent condition. Mutes are in great shape. It has some minor pick scratches on the pick guard. One small ding on the lower horn and another small ding on the head stock. None go through the finish, and both were to small to photograph. For a 26 year old instrument this thing is in incredibly good shape. OHSC made by SKB is included. Will also come with the orginal strap seen in the photo. I bought it from the original owner. The bass is also for sale at a local bass shop on consignment.

One piece Ash body
Weight approx. 9lbs
2-band EQ

Price $1650 including shipping to the lower 48 states.

It is a very beautiful looking bass. And in much better condition than my '83 SR.

Wow... not a natural finish guy myself, but for a 2-band of that vintage in that good of shape, that price is a steal. I'm sure it won't last long.

I think that you really need to highlight that this bass is a 2-band. Those tend to be more difficult to find.

If this is the one I saw in Atlanta Bass Gallery last week then it is in fantastic shape . . . super-clean

That's the one. Thanks for letting everyone know that I'm not joking when I say the bass is in great shape. The original owner stated he didn't play it very often. I believe it.

I'm not big on natural finish basses but to me this is the classic look. I'd be figuring a way to snag this funk machine if I didn't already have one that I'm crazy about.

Boy, if I didn't have a Will Lee coming in a couple weeks I'd love to snag this.

Bump for a KILLER bass.

Bart, just call Roger and cancel the WL. You know this one probably sounds like Amber.
