1983 USA Fender Precision FS/FT (Black/Maple)

Off the block for now...

1983 USA Fender Precision in great overall condition but with some wear marks as can be expected for an instrument of such vintage. Sounds great and plays great with low action and a thin, nicely profiled straight neck that can be adjusted with both the truss rod and micro-tilt. The body is black with a white PG that has aged to a cream like color with a nicely aged and amber tinted maple neck and fretboard.

Neck is 1 3/4" at the nut with an ultra flat radius that makes it a breeze to play. All components (with the exception of the Dunlop strap buttons) to the best of my knowledge, are original and in perfect working order. I also have the original white but aged pickup covers. Weight according to the bathroom scale is 9 lbs. Below is an "ok" pic for reference. More can be viewed here:

$925 shipped in the 48 states in a Fender gig bag. I see P's of this vintage with regular asking prices of $1200 to $1500. Why pay that when you can have this? Paypal preferred. Would consider a trade for either a J or another P with a maple board, a 'Ray, or a Ric 4003. Cash can be added to facilitate the appropriate deal.

Remember folks, the value of late 70's Fenders is climbing fast. The early 80's are next. Get 'em while they're cheap!

Thanks and PM me with questions or offers,

Mike

Do you have any pictures of anything dating the rest of this bass to 83, or just the serial no.?

Thank you, Clark, but prefer a trade of equal or greater value.

Consider trading for a late nineties black Am Std. Jazz bass all original including case w/ rosewood fretboard in mint condition?
