Continuing to thin my herd, I am now selling my 1984 Peavey Foundation....I'm not quite sure what they actually called this color (I believe its called Gold Mist), but I rarely see it - i see the black and the red quite often, occasionally white or wood finish.
I just had this bass re-fretted....so you know you are getting something of worth here beyond the easy playability and versatile growl this bass affords.
Bass has a hipshot D tuner on it (pretty sure I can find the original tuner), and the electronics compartment I had re-shielded. A couple of little dings, but considering the age, nothing major at all. Neck is straight, and obviously, the tech who did my frets set up the bass perfectly (theguitarfix.com). Comes with a gig bag (i actually have a peavey gig bag, but it doesn't seem to fit this bass, but you can have it too if you want)
- 46 3/4" overall length, 34" scale length, 14" lower bout width;
- Offset Double Cutaway Poplar Body
- Bolt On Maple Neck
- 21 Fret Maple Fingerboard with Black Dot Inlays
- Three Knobs (two v, tone) - and something i really like - the knobs have the P in there...they stopped doing that I believe in 86
- Two Peavey Super Ferrite Single Coil Pickups
I am asking $450 (plus shipping to lower 48/paypal only), which normally you'd think....kinda high for a foundation, but I did pay $250 for the refret.
Regarding trades: the only thing I'd trade for is a mid 90s Fender Foto Flame Jazz bass....with a straight neck, lol.
