1985 Ibanez Roadstar RB 850 4 string bass

MIJ
8.6 pounds.
dual humbucker PU`s , passive electronics
volume, blend , tone with stacked pots for split coil options
original hardshell case (even has original warranty card inside)
original ibanez era correct winged straplocks (highly sought after)
rosewood fretboard, basswood body. 24 frets. neck has a profile somewhere between a P and a J.
has its share of wear and tear for a bass of this age;has some assorted dings and such. has been a player and has a little fret wear. the case is a little worn but expected.
it sounds awesome; very loud for a passive bass. and a huge array of tones.
i have only owned this bass for about a month and bought it on a whim. the bassist who owned it collects vintage ibanez basses.
the guy i bought it from had an identical bass in the active version and when i ABed them, this one killed it hands down
i am selling a few basses to fund a more expensive future purchase.
i haven`t even fully explored it
i recently strung it with some fender strings and that is about it.
could probably benefit from a professional set up.

these basses are considered very desirable because of their killer tone. japanese instruments of this era are also built like a tank. after some research i found this bass to be correct and original.
i would like $400 and i will ship CONUS
i am near the U.S. border and can easily ship from the U.S. to any american buyers; much easier and advantageous to you. PM me with details

You are right.. It is calling my name, sadly though, I just celebrated a birthday by purchasing a Roadstar II 5'er and an ATK. If I had the funds to make an offer I definitely would. Good luck, it appears to be in excellent condition.

P.S. If it comes with the original case, you should post some pics of it.

there are some pics of it with the case a little further down.
it did photograph well but like i said, it does have some little dings here and there; it has clearly been a player

That's a really clean example of a great ol' bass. With the OHSC, which are quite hard to find in general, that's a good price.

Wish I could swing it, being the red-haired, MIJ 80s bass-loving, huge fan of the RB850 (miss my old one) that I am.

GLWTS!!!

i will repeat that there are some little nicks here and there on the bass but i cannot get them to photograph probably due to the deep colour.a few on the front, a few in the back, but most importantly, hardly anything on the neck
