1986 MIJ Fender Precision-Black/Rosewood

Sign in to disble this ad
Here is a great P bass. Black and maple, 1986 MIJ fender precision. Remember people saying MIJ in the mid 80's was USA made quality, well its true. It needs a set up as i get some fretbuzz on the first few frets with the low action it has now

The back i tried to show there are some BB sized dings , and some belt scratching , nothing horrible and well it is the back , the front is pretty clean , neck only has minor little tiny dings, frets great, chrome knobs are bubbling a little , tuners have patina on them , pickup pole pieces light rust. It is almost 25 years old and nothing is abused looking its just got a bit of light wear on it and its fantastic looking,The neck is amazingly nice, thin rosewood, wide yet flat semi glossy neck. The only ad part is someone scratched the made in japan out , why? no idea I would be proud to have it say that.

Also this has the router hump like old fenders.

Seeing as how a MIM P is 550$ new and cant even touch this in terms of quality I am going to ask the following prices.

600$ 570 550 SHIPPED CONUS
OR
580$ 550 530

500$ SHIPPED If you pay me in a way that avoids fees

link to photos, only pics 1-9 is of this bass

99% sure its 1 3/4. This neck is like the 2 62 reissue american fender necks i had, wide , flat and thin rosewood board.

If someone knows for sure the nut width on these please chime in , outta town for the holiday but will measure upon return.

I'll be snatching this up when/if my bassman sells.
Do you have any pics of the fretboard profile?
I'm looking to see how thin the board is.

Thanks eric!

Luckie, I will get you a pic before any cash is transfered.

I am also dropping the price a bit as playing the bass I can see it needs a bit of a set up , something I know must of us do ourself but to those that dont 30$ off.

I agree i just recorded some demos of my band with it , there still being edited but it sounded really aggressive.

This is all original and the holes in the guard for a pickup cover are just there in the guard not the wood.
