I picked this bass up about 8 years ago from a used music shop in Huntington Beach, CA. Wanted to try fretless and used this in a few projects for a few years but it hasn't seen much use in the last 4 or 5 years. Figured I'd offer it up for sale and maybe get something else.
Serial number checks outs as a 1987-88. What's original - Body (finish), neck, tuners, pickguard, control plate and bridge. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Vintage (SJB-1), the controls are wired Volume/Blend/Tone. It had been upgraded with the CTS pots when I got it and all I did was add the Blend pot. The black knobs are the screw type and fit nice on the solid shaft pots. I also will include the silver dome knobs that I used on the bass. With the pickguard off... well you know the look I was going for
No line neck, with side markers at 3, 5, 7, 9, double dots at 12, 15, 17 and 19.
It's probably in 7-8/10 condition and shows some dings, chips and some belt buckle rash on the back. I guess you'd call this a "player's" instrument. Sounds fantastic with plenty of "mwah." The fingerboard is super smooth with NO wear grooves or damage. Don't believe it's ever been planed as it's still fairly thick.
Will ship in a cheapy soft case with a zillion packing peanuts etc.
I'd like to get $500 shipped west of the Mississipi, $525 to the east. Lower 48 only. --SOLD--
Open to trades, but don't need any more electric basses. Most interested in smaller "boutique-y" cabs, micro heads, etc. But CASH IS KING.
