1988 Peavey Foundation -- Super Ferrrites & HSC, Black and Maple!! $245 shipped!!

1988 Peavey Foundation!! This has been my main player forever, has some minor player and fret wear but it's 25 years old right? Sounds amazing with the super ferrites. Set up very nicely with newer strings. I truly believe that these are THE BEST low cost basses out there.

100% Made in the USA...rock maple neck and select maple body. I picked this up on a whim and sold my USA jazz a week later. The super ferrites were similar to the Jazz pups but way higher output and way more ballsy. The neck is slim and comfortable and I love the black and maple look. Has micro-tilt adjustment for the neck(why don't all basses have this???). Pickup height adjusts easily with a phillips head, love this feature.

These vintage Peavey's get uber-love out here. If you haven't had the chance to take one for a spin do yourself a favor...the quality, workmanship and sound are undeniable. There simply isn't a better value out there IMO. Makes a great gigging and backup bass too.

Bomb case included...case is in great shape and is built to survive WWIII.

$245 shipped, paypal.

I'll get some better pics up ASAP.

I just picked up a later model fretless foundation on Craigslist (soapbars not super ferrites). I was amazed at the kind of instrument I got the money I paid for it. If I had the cash right now, I'd snatch it up just to compare the pickups. Good luck moving it

best bang for the buck in the world IMO. I bought this a few years back and sold my USA jazz a week later. It's got serious guts...

I agree. Best bang for the buck. These Super Ferrites have a growl that's addictive to listen to !! The ultimate classic rock bass !!
