Note: The damage to the interior of the case happened during shipment of another bass, not this one. UPS must have turned the box upside down and slammed it around.

Bump for beautiful bass.

Neck should be from two pieces though, MM fretboards are usually cut from the same piece of wood as the neck so the joint is nearly invisible. It is the only way how to install truss rod (expect skunk stripe equipped necks)

How is the trussrod inserted into a maple neck? Is it one piece of wood?

Very cool 'Ray bump. That truss link describes what davidak said - they slice off what becomes the fretboard and glue it back on. That's how my Sterling was done. The G&L bi-cut method is similar but cuts in the other direction near the center.
