Ok this was a project bass of mine that I had completely striped down and rebuilt with new pick ups and pots. I also striped the old finish (emerald green) off and finished the body using a tung-oil, and has a really nice grain. It has a black ebony veneer for the front of the headstock. All the hardware is "like brand new" and the frets and neck have a very minimal amount of ware!
These are great basses that are built really well, the only original problem was the OE pre-amp and pick ups suck, which I pulled out and installed passive pick ups and electronics. The bass is very light weight and has the slim SR neck that makes it so easy to play, its great for long 2-3 gigs. It has surprisingly warm tone, but can brighten up with some stainless steel stings. Very solid gigging instrument…
Body- light weight American maple.
Fretboard- Rosewood.
Neck- maple.
Pick ups- Duncan Performers- these get mixed reviews around here but I think they sound great, if your so inclined this bass would be worthy of trying out some different pups.
Electronics- 250k CTS pots Volume/Volume/Tone, the extra knob is a dummy knob cuz of the old 4-knob preamp.
The only other thing is the body has some very slight blemishing from the old finish but is hard to notice unless you are close up and under bright light.
Asking $300 (includes case, which is in great shape) plus shipping.
