1995 Warwick Fortress One..German.. all-wenge neck.......almost new condition!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone..not really sure I even want to move this, but as usual, I'm interested in what's out there. This is a 1995 made in Germany Warwick Fortress One with an all-wenge neck that is in great condition. Save for one or two tiny dings, it looks pretty much brand new. Sounds great, plays great, new Ernie Ball slinkies and just set up! You can get a million tones out of these things, and it's effortless to play with very low action. I'm fairly convinced you won't find another F1 of this vintage in better condition. This one is nicer than most "new" basses hanging in stores! I am interested in the following trades:

* Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass
* Fender Road Worn P Bass
* Fender MIA P-Bass in butterscotch Blonde (my white whale--If you have one of these, I also have a EBMM Stingray that I'd be willing to move!)
* Carvin SB4000/5000
* Any other interesting 4 string basses of equal value

Please PM me with what you have! Thanks

No rush to sell this one. I love it, and would be extremely happy to keep it. Thanks!

These are fantastic basses.

I've had one for over 15 years and I still play it a lot. The Warwick Just-A-Nut really lets you get super low action.

Bump for a great bass!

Have been getting some great trade offers, but nothing that really sways me yet. I'd like to stick with trades at least at this point. Like I said, I'm not looking to just get rid of it--just looking for something that's more "me"

How about that? I got it off of a kid on CL. Were you the original owner? It's a BEAUTY (you REALLY took care of it) I'm just not convinced it's "me". Every time I pick it up though, I get more and more convinced. Coming from Fenders and EBMMs, the body style is the polar opposite of what I'm used to...but it sounds, feels and looks so cool.....I may just have to take this down

Yeah, that's the kid that bought it from me. The body is a bit different but man, is it a sweeeeeet bass!

Only reason I parted with it is the economy has not been very kind the past few years....went from having 14 basses....Dingwall, Kubicki, B-Quad, Conklin, etc....to none! Thankfully, that's about to change as I just mailed the last alimony payment to the ex last Friday, so there's going to be an extra grand a month in my pocket. Some new basses are right around the corner for me!

Wow. Thank you for the memory! I had one of those and sold it about 10 years ago. Same color and everything. Just beautiful. Great bass. Sold it and bought a Jazz. Still love the Jazz, but man that Fortress was sweet.

So you still have the Jazz, eh? That's cool! Usually when I trade something, I end up deeply regretting it later. Hopefully, the same fate won't befall me on this one!
