This is a Fortress One Masterman 5 string, built back in 1995 when Warwick was still making them in Germany and using all Wenge for the necks. It has way more tonal variety than you'd expect from two pickups so close together, and a very fast neck with narrow spacing.
I've had it since 1997 and it was my main or secondary gigging bass for about two years total. It shows a few nicks and scratches but the gold hardware is in pretty good shape for it's age, only the volume knob has really faded. Electronically and as a player it's 100% and then some.
This bass has been great but I have two other good 5-strings that fit my current needs better. I'm in a Grateful Dead tribute band and trying to be authentic, so the Warwick growl doesn't fit in.
Asking $900 plus shipping.
