For sale is a 1996? Carvin Lb 76 neck through bass, the color is a trans blue finish, the neck wood is maple and i believe the sides are mahogany or walnut. I have only owned this bass for s short time just to get into the 6 string world and it just isnt for me.
The bass has an EMG pre installed by the previous owner, that has a volume knob for each pickup and a bass middle and treble. One of the knobs is a dummy knob that fills the hole where the carvin pre had a switch. The pickups are Carvin Jazz. Gold sperzel locking tuners, wilkinson bridge, and rosewood board. as far as iwas told it was purchased in 1996 by a studio player in Nashville. The bass is nice and has a good range of tones, I prefer playing to the bridge pickup for finger style. The neck is thin and very comfortable for a 6. 6 string just isnt for me, Cosmetically the bass has a few chips on the underside and the BACK. The back has belt buckle rash accompanied by the wood coming off of some. ( see pics for details) if you want more pics just ask and ill post them up.

this is the reason the price is low,

I am hoping to deal Locally in Oregon or the Pacific Northwest but would consider shipping in a gig back if someone is so inclined.

Price isnt firm but is already pretty low. Thanks!

$400 Shipped Conusa locally 350

I am in Portland Oregon

That's a great deal, even with the back the way it looks.

As an idea for someone that likes it, but may be iffy because of the condition of the back, I think you might consider shooting the back of it black and blending the edges with the blue on the back side.

Just and idea to think on.

What is the condition of the truss rod, and do you have the truss rod tool?

Don't have truss rod tool so not entirely sure. Previous owner had had it setup a few months ago so I assumed no big when I bought it. Any thought on what to use?
