SOLD! 1996 Fender Jazz "The Ventures" limited edition, Fender 50th Anniversary

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD - on the 'bay. Thank you all for the bass compliments.

1996 Fender Jazz "The Ventures" limited edition. Rare

** I also forgot to mention that it is a Fender 50th Anniversary. Please see the added pictures of the back of the headstock.

Didn't think I would ever list this bass, but G.A.S. got me.

Beautiful condition 1996 Fender Jazz bass "The Ventures" model. Exact specs directly from Fender support below the pictures. About 450 made, about 134 sold in the U.S.
I have changed the pickguard, control plate, and the pickups to new Fender 60's Custom Shop pickups. Original pickups & pickguard included, of course.
Fender U.S.A. hardshell case included as well. Probably made in the 90's, but in excellent condition.
The neck has white binding with very large black dots.
This bass is "Made in Japan", and weighs 9.6 lbs.
The hardware is gold, including the bullet truss rod. The changed control plate is chrome, but I have a new Fender gold one if the buyer wants it as well.
Half of the nut has a slight bit of color fading on it. No big deal, but I have to mention it.
FINAL DROP: $999 shipped within the continental U.S. Paypal preferred, sorry no trades at all.

P.S. Thank you all who commented when I had it briefly listed about 2 weeks ago.
I was in the middle of G.A.S. attack & seller's remorse.

Pickguard removed to show the almost 1 piece body. About 1 1/2" from the top is the 2nd peice.

Good Grief. My wife is gonna KILL me if I by 2 basses in a week's time from you. Beautiful....

I'm definitely looking for a solid Jazz to bring to gigs...but that is just far too special to consider for that.

Stunning bass though...

Why is this thing still here?! This is, hands down, the most beautiful Jazz on TB.

I am interested but confused...the original post states $1050 shipped but you later state a price drop to $1150 as quoted below, can you please clarify?
