I picked this up a few weeks ago in a killer deal, couldn't pass it up... but I don't think I'm going to be playing it, my Dingwall is just getting 100% play time. That being said - I always like to hear trade ideas
So here it is again, after a polishing. Offering the same price to keep in TB.
1997 Fender American Jazz 5 String for $550 shipped (CONUS)! That price is firm.
This headstock has a crack along the B, E and A tuning pegs. However, the pegs still function and keep the instrument consistently in tune. The bass is in full working condition and sounds excellent!
The electronics have been upgraded with a Bartolini TC3 9V Booster. This increases the pickup output and boosts the signal from the bass.
It also has an upgraded Hi-Mass Fender bridge. Original bridge is included. There is also a second pick guard (Black 3 Ply).
The body shows normal play wear from a 16 year old instrument and the fret and neck are in excellent condition. Truss works smoothly and the neck is straight as an arrow with low action.
The case is original with stickers and lots of wear, one of the foot pegs is broken off.
White pick-guard has a small crack near one of the screws.
Here's a run down of the bass:
In full working condition.
Headstock has a fracture/crack running along the B and E and A String Tuning posts.
Scratches and dings on the body. Finish is still glossy.
Neck Pocket Crack.
