I've decided to let my JC bass go. Since I bought a 73 Les Paul, I don't really have a need for the Epiphone.
This is a nice one. Made in 1998 and comes with original hard case. I bought it in 2003 and have kept the same black tapewound strings installed. They sound great with the bass so I figured why change it?
When I first bought it, the bridge kept rising up, and I had it set in the body. I have read this is a common problem with these basses.
Also, the input jack is a little scratchy. Might need some of that contact spray. And there is an extra strap pinhole drilled on top of the upper horn, so you can place the strap there, or on the butt of the neck, where it is now.
$600 shipped.
Do you know that the '73 Les Paul Signature and the Epiphone Jack
Casady bass bodies are actually made from the same molds?
When Jack Casady went to Gibson to make his bass, they had their
historian locate the molds that had been used to make the Gibson Les Pauls.
The result was the Jack Casady bass.

I did not know that, but I believe it. They are the exact same size. I actually bought another Jack Casady case to keep my 73 Gibson in. The Gibson case doesn't hold the bass as snug as the Epiphone case.
