One Day Only Price $1695 shipped conus

Custom order bass in the late 90's. SKB-5 #4013

Cordovan Red
Birdseye Maple Top
Birdseye Fretboard
Lane Poor Jazz guts in Soapbar shell(special order from me to Keith to Lane)
Bartolini 3 band.
ABM bridge
Spanish Cedar back
Ivory nut
Gold hardware
18mm spacing
Maple/Purpleheart neck

$1695 shipped conus

When I ordered this bass from Keith I requested a color darker than his Roscoe Red that he was offering at the time. He came up with this and told me he had some shoes when he was a younger man that he called "Cordovan". So that's where this color came from. He worked it out with Lane Poor to put Jazz guts in a Soapbar shell. That's how that came about. The tuners are Gotoh and if I remember right the bridge is an ABM. Everything is stock as special ordered back then. No mods.
It was supposed to be 19mm spacing but when it arrived it was the more narrow spacing. Instead of sending it back to Roscoe, my friend begged me to sell it to him. I sold it to him and just recently got it back. I can't go back to the narrow spacing after having my Laklands/Nordy. This is somebody's dream bass.

Looks, plays and sounds incredible with the Lane Poor/Bartolini combo. There can't be too many of these out there.
I can send better pics if needed.

Thumbs up

Nice bass! FYI, the bridge is actually an ABM, not a Hipshot.

Cool piece for someone!

You're in my neck of the woods. Shame it's not a 4 string . . . would the nut allow E to C tuning?

Now you are just toying with my emotions . . .

As a 4 string guy, I never get to be excited about Roscoes. We may have to plan a meeting.

This is one of those colors you have to see in person. Gorgeous bass!

Dang! The market is tougher than I thought. This is like a 1/2 off sale.
