1998 Warwick Streamer Stage 2 - local deal only

$500

I rescued this bass a few years back. The previous owner put some serious road scars on this thing. Anyway, the electronics didn't work and the truss rod was screwed. I've put a lot of $$ into this bass but got some bad news about it and can't afford to invest anymore. Here's the deal:

I've installed Bartolini pick ups and an Audere Z-mode preamp.
The truss rod cannot be adjusted any further than it is now. If it is turned anymore, it will start to crack the neck. I just had it professionally set up and the tech did the best he could with it. The bass is playable, but everything above the 12th fret buzzes. I've been playing it in its current state for a few years and it was not a problem. The bass deserves a replacement truss rod which is just too much for me right now.

Only looking to deal in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area.

Any amp interests? I have an Aguilar DB359, Ampeg SVT-CL, & MarkBass Randy Jackson TTE-500 all up for dealing. I know it's a long shot, but it doesn't hurt to ask! I live in Baltimore and might consider a trip to Philly for a reasonable deal.

Btw, if it is for sale, what's the asking price?

I can't believe I forgot to put a price. I'm asking $500. A true repair would cost in the $900+ range. No interested in amps. Would be interested in combos though. I would really just prefer cash though.

Replacing the truss rod wouldn't be 900.00. What is making you throw that number out there? If you decide you were willing to ship, I might be interested.

The truss rod is not removable without taking the fretboard off. Warwick stopped manufacturing basses with removable truss rods after 1996. I've had it inspected by several techs and have been in contact with the Warwick Custom Shop techs. Per Warwick, the flat rate for this type of repair is $900. Not looking to ship. Local transactions only.
