Cool 1999 PEAVEY CIRRUS / ALEMBIC hybrid aka "Cirralembic" !!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a walnut/wenge 1999 USA Peavey Cirrus with maple stringers. The playability of this bass is unreal, as most Cirrus's are. I chose this particular Cirrus out of my arsena;l to modify because it just plays a little better than all the rest I own.
- 1999 USA made Peavey Cirrus walnut/wenge

- 35" scale neck, 1.5" nut, 8 lbs or so, action lower than Lurch's voice with ZERO fret noise

- 1980's Alembic pickups, and low pass filter/preamp

- 2010 Alembic input jack, volume, blend w/ detent, Q switch

- Legendary Santa Rosa luthier Bob Groat refinished the bass bringing it to showroom standards and applied a paper thin layer of satin finish. This means it looks like a hand rubbed oil finish, but needs ZERO maintenance ! This is on the entire bass except for the fb.

- YODA, aka Kent at Back Stage in Cotati finalized all of the electronics. He is a Cirrus and Alembic guy, and a friend, so he was the best man for the job !

- Alembic here in Santa Rosa routed the pickup holes and essentially turned this Cirrus into an Alembic.

--- BUT HERE'S THE BEST PART ---- Tony Stoufer at Alembic modified my Cirrus electronics with the Alembic "plug n play" clips. This allows you to switch out the preamps and pickups in less than an hour with NO SOLDERING ! All you need is a three tools. All parts are labeled and it's easy. Turn your Cirrus into and Alembic, or your Alembic into a Cirrus !!

- This is THE COOLEST Cirralembic ever made. It is a one of a kind. I, personally, call this bass "The Cenobyte"

I have over $1,700 in mods in this bass and I need to get my 1970 Chevy ready for American Graffiti Day, so I am sacrificing this bass

Mike

Price lowered to $1550 plus shipping, so let's say $1600 SHIPPED.

Man, you need some of Fekwoods knobs to bring that thing completely over the top. I think MF has ebony and rosewood ones...

I think if you had two q filters and a pickup selector in this puppy you would not be selling it IMHO.

I'll sell it to you, Lanis and then you can add a second Q switch. It has a blend already - No pup selector required !
