2 Good Cheap Basses

The Hondo is SOLD!!!!.

Someone make me a reasonable offer on the Bullet so I can ship them the same day!!

First up.............

I'm not sure where these Hondos where produced but build quality and style looks exactly like the basses that came from the Matsumoku factory from that era. This is a rather upscale Hondo in that it has a solid wood body and it came from the factory with Grover tuners, string through body bridge and skunk stripe neck with the "bullet nut" truss adjustment on the headstock (which is very easy to use). No issues, everything works perfectly.

As far as the condition, it has very, VERY MINOR fretwear. It has it's share of light dings and dents around the perimeter of the body but nothing really bad. There's a few on the back as well but no buckle rash or anything. There's one ding on the back of the neck but I never notice it while playing. Considering it's age, it's in very nice condition, played but not abused.

The original pickguard was cracked and ugly. I replaced it with the abalone pickguard from WD music which was about $75. I also made the mammoth ivory tugbar. You won't see many like it

Overall it's a rock solid, well made, nice playing P bass that's taken a nice yellowish age over the years. 9.5 lbs on my very accurate fishing scale.

Priced to sell $300 shipped.

This is the 34" scale version!!

Second up is a nice 80's Squier Bullet Bass, SQ serial number, MIJ.

These are great sounding P basses with awesome tone. This one has a nice setup, medium low action. It has it's share of dings and chips around the perimeter of the body. There's also a crack, most likely in the finish only in the typical spot at the neck pocket. The pickguard also has some funky patches on it but it's not noticable unless you look close. The body is covered in what I would call micro scratches, probably from being wiped down with a dirty cloth. All the flaws are cosmetic and from 5 feet away it looks great. It also has VERY MINOR fretwear. It's a player with some milage and theres a good reason for that.

No case but I will pack it bomb proof

Also priced to sell, $275 shipped.
