I never really believed that I would put these up for sale. But the truth of the matter is I am not playing in bands anymore, I play more guitar in the basement than anything, and if I do play bass I am playing j's and p's with the Lakland Skyline hollowbody mixed in. I really can't say that I am increasingly motivated to sell, but I could use the money as a new car purchase is inevitable. So here is the specs, info and history as best I remember.
1998 55-94 Deluxe Tealburst - Birdseye Maple (S/N 54xx)
I bought this bass in 2004, probably around August. The owner was the bass player of the Louise Mandrell band in Pigeon Forge, TN. I believe he was the original owner. This bass looks great and has a stunning top but you can see a few marks in the finish from changing strings and general play. The weight on this one is 9.25 lbs. This bass has been in a case for the last year or so and could probably do with a string change and setup for your taste. $1800 plus insured shipping to the lower 48 states only.

2000 55-94 Deluxe Sunburst - East Indian Rosewood (S/N 60XX)
This bass was purchased from a Tb'er in July of 2003 from a TB'er. I dug through old threads and found a name, jazzman23, but I don't think it is the same member as the currently registered Jazzman23. Anyway, I seem to remember that he was the 2nd owner of the bass. Great top, great neck, all as it should be. This bass weighs in at a hair over 9 lbs. This bass has also been packed away for some time so it could use a string change and setup. $1900 plus insured shipping to the lower 48 states only.

Both of these basses have the Bartolini preamp and Bartolini pickups. There are no issues with the necks, everything is sound and all operates as they should. Lack of use has left some dust in the pots that I will spray out with canned air. Otherwise you are looking at great basses with wonderful tops and amazing feeling necks. I have original G&G cases for both basses and I also have an SKB Freedom Lakland case and a Green Lakland Gigbag. The G&G cases are included with the basses, the SKB and the gig bag are extra.
As far as trades go, I would be interested in the following:
Lakland JO's & BG's (Skyline or MIA) Maybe a Scheff?
Sadowsky?
Fender J Basses
Fender P Basses
I would prefer MIJ or MIA Fenders. I am not opposed to your bass plus cash offers. Nor am I opposed to strait across trades. These are wonderful basses that are just not getting the use in my hands they should. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
