2 NYC Sadowsky basses for sale (24 Fret 5, standard 4) Both with Quilt tops!

Hello Everyone!

I am clearing out some of my Sadowsky collection to help ease the expense of a major upgrade to my studio! First off is a 24 Fret 5 string!

Here is one KILLER bass that I've been on the block about selling for a while. It's a great sounding and playing bass. I can play this for hours and not be tired in the least way.

This bass can get everything from Smith tones with a little more warmth to P-bass tones. It is modern sounding. I like it's tone....I just prefer the J-tone for what I'm doing these days. I've got several other Sadowsky's so.....I'm going to sell this one to get another J-model 5 string built. This bass has less than 100 hours of use on it.

Here's some specs about the bass:

Started in Dec. of 1999....completed in Jan. 2000. It's got 99 and 2000 dates on the inside of the control cavity.

-NYC Sadowsky 24 fret 5 string bass.
-Non Chambered Swamp Ash Body with Ultra Quilted top....a HUGE upgrade.
-Maple Neck with slight figuring on fingerboard
-Sadowsky Preamp
-Black Hardware
-Clear finish
-EMG 40J Pickups
-NO VTC. (although you can add it easily)
-WEIGHT IS 7 lbs 9 oz!!!!!!!!! SUPER LIGHT!!

Excellent Condition....never gigged. This bass has 1 iddy biddy indention by the pick-up cover (which is so small it won't photograph. You can only see it when you turn the bass into the light at an angle. You can't feel it with your finger) It also has a small mark on the bottom of the headstock from setting on a stand. Other than that, it's in as new condition. NO buckle rash or wear. Only used for a few recordings. I've got others I play more often.

I'd prefer U.S. Postal Money Orders on this one!!!! Paypal ok.

$3000.00 plus shipping. (price negotiable)

Next up is a GREAT NYC Sadowsky Standard 4. I've played and gigged this bass a whole bunch. It has been one of my two main players for years. It's got a really deep tone, both passive and active. It's got typical players wear...a few dings on the bottom of the bass by the jack and some wear around the headstock. Frets were replaced a little more than a year ago. It's a solid bass that is in really good shape for being played as much as it has. Not beat up, but not mint! 8.5-9.0 out of 10.

- 1992 NYC Sadowsky Standard 4 string
- Non-Chambered Swamp Ash Body with Quilt top
- Maple Neck and fingerboard
(back of neck is finished, fingerboard is not finished) Neck has a bit of flame to it and the fingerboard has a small bit of bird's eye to it.
- Sadowsky Preamp with VTC
- Black Hardware
- Drop D Tuner
- Amber finished body
- Sadowsky pickups
(original to the bass...not sure what model)
- a little more than 9 pounds
- Comes with Incase Slim gig bag for an additional $100.00

$2300.00 plus shipping.

I'd prefer a U.S. Postal Money Order on this!! Paypal ok at last resort!

Not looking for any trades at the moment! More pics available upon request to serious buyers.

If I hadn't just put down a deposit check to move into a new place, that four string would be on its way to me....

Good luck on the sales.

Sadowsky with '59 Burst? Killer! (It's my main bass as well.)

Someone buy these basses so the temptation fade.

I've had several people from Europe inquire about these basses. Shipping to Europe is outrageous! It's not really an option for most (close to $400.00 per instrument) So, I am only interested in selling in the United States! Thanks to all of those from outside the country that have expressed interest in these great instruments.
