Hello, I am re-posting part of this as I didn't realize it was against TB rules not to specify prices. So.. I am posting it today, and will not renew it.
First off, I have a USA Lakland 2003 Bob Glaub, (Vintage P-style), that was built for an artist. It was played on some big stages, but is still in nearly new shape. Beautiful translucent White with rosewood board. It came with, and includes, an anodized gold guard that was ordered with it originally, (It's a different screw pattern than usual BG's have). I liked the white/gold look, but wanted to try something more striking... so I had a 24K gold sparkle pickguard made for it, which is on the bass now. It's really flashy if you like that.... If not, the anodized gold one is included. Realgold Inc did a great job on the 24K gold sparkle pickguard, and I’d keep the bass if I had any use for it. The bass has the typical "P" width nut, not the thinner "J" 1.5 width.... is a moderate weight, maybe 9.5 pounds or so, (All I have is a bath scale, it says 9.5). It has the usual reverse-gear BG tuners, and a newer off-white Lakland HSC. The bass is very clean, with only a couple very small impressions here or there. No buckle-rash or problems.
Lakland retail is $3,800... It would be slightly more "New"... but it would take quite a while, and obviously it wouldn't have the history if that is of interest to you, (Grateful Dead fans??, this bass played some shows with Bob Weir and was celebrity owned if that is of interest to you).
$2,100 shipped in the con USA, fully insured.
06/15/2011: This second one is SOLD......Sold bass deleted from post. USA custom ordered Lakland 4-94 in Markus Orange translucent over deluxe quilt-top, matching headstock, MOP blocks and binding, in OHSC.... played maybe an hour total... an absolute DREAM bass I have been told by more than one.... Alas, I should have ordered the exact bass with 5 strings
Feel free to e-mail me for any questions.... But please no trade offers or crazy low prices.... I don't need to sell these, it's just that I rarely use 4-strings, and I ended up with two. I will probably sell whichever of these two sells first..... no hurry though. Thanks for looking, have a great day.
UPDATE: Since it has been suggested that I figure out how to provide better photos... Please see: http://s1122.photobucket.com/albums/l527/bluesbass/
for 18 photos of these basses. Still can't figure out how to get them from photobucket to use in a post here.... but I'm learning... slowly

The BG belonged to a friend who promised it to me if he ever sold it.... and the 4-94 was ordered after weeks of careful consideration on exactly what the perfect, (For me), 4 string would be. I love Markus Orange, but had never seen a quilted one, (Lakland had, at the time I had this built, never done one over a quilted top according to Brian). It had to be really light, (Bad back), and it had to be flashier than a fishing lure.... And I as I posted when I received it.... It was the most beautiful Lakland I have ever received. If I EVER played 4-stings, I would never sell it.. Yes, I should have ordered it in a 5. Anyway, the new car got me thinking about having basses that will never be played lying around. Thanks to all for your kind comments
