2001 USA G&L L-2500 Blueburst w/OHSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright, money shortages and other projects have me getting rid of a bass that I LOVE - my blueburst G&L L-2500. I have the OHSC (original hard shell case) made of molded plastic. The bass also has matching blueburst headstock.

Asking $950 $750 USD, with FREE US shipping (lower 48 states). Shipping will be by FedEx Ground, properly packed and boxed by me.

Currently has D'addario Pro Steels on it, can also throw on a new set of EXL's if you want for an extra $15.

PM if interested. PayPal accepted. Hoping to move this quick before I change my mind.

Condition: Pretty much the same as you see here. There are some minor finish swirling issues on the back and a little buckle rash but it isn't too bad, light has to hit it just right to see. More pics forthcoming with more detail, or you can request specific pics as well. Currently setup with low-to-medium action and a fresh 9V battery. Neck is stable, intonation is currently set on neck.

Bump for this.

You're killing me. The day after I find and buy an L2500, you put this up. My timing always stinks.

Curious - what are the strap buttons that come on this? Are they locks or just buttons?

Good luck on the sale!

They are dunlop strap lock buttons. So why not buy your bass a brother from another mother?

Buy this bass! You won't regret it. I've got a blueburst and G&L's are killer.

EVEN CHEAPER! - Now JUST $750 FREE GROUND SHIPPING!

Get a Made in USA G&L L-2500 for less than half original retail price, even cheaper than a new Tribute (non-USA) L-2500!

Okay I have a Tribute L-2500 that I really like but it has the maple fret board as opposed to the rosewood,
What would I notice for a difference in the sound?

Honestly I've never noticed much of a sonic difference between maple fretboards and rosewood fretboards. Some people say the maple has more brightness and snap and that the rosewood is warmer or darker but my experience has not echoed this. I've owned basses with both fretboards and I believe the sonic differences to be due to other things, such as different electronics, pickups and strings.

I had a tribute L-2500 for a while, same configuration as this guy but without the painted headstock and there was very little sonic difference between the two. As far as I know, the pickups and preamp on the tributes are the same as the USA models.

By the way, a new Tribute L-2500 goes for $799 - mine is cheaper than that and USA made with matching headstock and original hard shell case! Someone please buy this, I need the cash.

Glad I could help. I have no business buying this bass right now before Christmas, but I've always wanted to give one a spin. Somehow I got this far with NEVER touching one. Now is the time!
