2001 Warwick Infinity F hole neck thru

For sale only. Nice neck through. Action has been lowered and the set up redone. Bass is pretty much near mint except for the gold paint on the MEC pick ups. I bought the bass here on TB, then had a luthier I trust adjust it and he redid the upper 6 frets to allow for the best action. Much easier to play now. I'm culling the herd and this one I was on the fence about, but it's time to let her go.

The F holes lighten the bass and give is a subtle tone difference(at least to me). 8.3 lbs
Much better balance than the Thumb basses and much easier to play than the dolphin shape(never liked that shape when I play), but to each their own. This is the best balanced of the 3.

One Warwick I never tried and would love to try out! It's kinda weird they went with a rosewood board but that makes it even more interesting imho

The Dolphin has the reverse problem, but looked so cool, but I cannot get my wrist to bend that way

This is the best trade off, but I never played one of the single cut styles.

Even the Nobby was better balanced than the Dolphin or the thumb.

I've played many of the Warwicks over the last few years, this model is about as good with the trade offs as they get. At least in my own experiences.

fwiw, my thumb balances just fine. while it may not be the 45 degree angle that everyone seems to think is 'balanced,' none of the thumbs i have ever had are difficult to keep in that position. unbalanced, imho, would be when a headstock actually dives to the floor, not when it just naturally sits a little closer to 30 degrees or so. /thumbfanboyrant

back on topic: i have not seen many of these in a neck-through. it looks excellent! are the f-holes not the same as the tone chamber system on the set neck version?

I'm not sure about the F holes vs tone chambers, they have a subtle sound difference. If you do tapping on the body like M. Manring, these will give you all sorts of cool potential. Also lightens the load. Bass is not bad on the weight.
