SOLD!!!

And so, the dominoes fall.

I just got this bass, and as much as I love it, it turns out it was the great epiphany for me. I have a few really nice basses, but really, I always find myself trying to make them all more the same rather than different. So, I have bitten the bullet and dropped a TON of jack on the "one bass to rule them all" and so, all else must go.

I haven't spent a great deal of time with this bass, but I really do love it. It plays amazingly well. It sounds like an SR5. It is absolutely a prime examply of these basses.

I am asking $950 shipped and insured to the greater 48 states and that price is pretty firm. If you are interested in an SR5, this is as nice as any you'll run across used.

The bass has two 1/8" or so dings. Neither is viewable from the face. One is on the top of the horn. The other is near the jack. Neither pentrates the finish nor would they be easily photoed. Otherwise, it is a pristine speciman. This bass has the added benefit of the matching headstock -- a feature that really makes these basses, IMO. Shipped in a bit beaten but otherwise solid OHSC.

Forgive the absence of multiple pictures. If you are seriously interested, I will get you more.

I will ship the bass with the pickguard of your choice or both if you pay asking price.

I am convinced that there at least one out there TB land that both wants this AND has the means to BUY it.

Bump for the benefit of that person.

Once again, no trades. I have already bought the bass I want. Thanks in advance and have a great day!!

No idea. It's heavy though -- certainly not one of the rare 9 lb. 'rays. It's about the same as my Roscoe Beck V and noticeably heavier than my American Deluxe PV. It's also heavier than the Am Stnd JV I parted with recently. Sorry, but I don't even have a scale at my house.

It does hang well though -- better than the RBV. I guess because all the weight is in the body.
