I am selling my very versatile Sunburst 2002 Fender American Deluxe 5-String Jazz bass. I have owned this bass since 2002 and I have to say it is the biggest, baddest, and fattest sounding bass I have ever had (the sustain goes on for days). I am selling due to a recent bout of G.A.S. I have a choice of keeping my 1993 Modulus Q-5 or this baby and the sentimental attachment to the Modulus outweighs the coolness of this bass. You can hear the bass by going to SoulShine | SoulShine | CD Baby (as I recorded almost the entire CD with this instrument) or the Henry Lee Summer track "Little by Little" at Various Artists | The Tenderness Tour: Give a Girl a Chance | CD Baby. As you can see in the pictures (if they uploaded correctly) the stock Fender pick-ups (the original pick-ups are long gone) were replaced with EMG’s. The front EMG has a switch that changes the bass from J to P mode and therefore the ability to have a “Precision-bass” sound or a "Jazz-bass" sound (pretty ingenious of EMG if you ask me). I have also tried to show all of the small dings in the finish. This IS a player’s bass, a bass I played four nights per week for several years as well as on many studio dates and jingles. Finally, I just have to say love this bass, it is a great player and in the words of a recent seller on this forum, "I think in the right hands it could be a true creative companion"(What a great quote). I guarantee anyone who buys it will be happy with their purchase. PayPal is the way to go and I will ship as soon as it is sold.

I dropped the price on the bass elsewhere so I am giving the Talk Bass community a deeper discount on the bass just to keep things right. Email me if you would liketo see more pictures.
