2002 Modulus Flea FB5 5 string bass, MMJ/Aguilar, Excellent Condition!

I have decided to do the unthinkable, I am putting my Modulus Flea 5 bass up for sale. Here is more info:

Modulus Flea FB5 2002 model
Silver Metal Flake finish
Bartolini MMJ, Aguilar 18V electronics
Matching headstock
Standard finish neck
Modulus Hardshell case
$1350 + shipping

I ordered this new in early 2002, and I had a Warwick FNA 4 string that got used for most of the shows, so this one is still in excellent shape. There is a small chip out of the clear finish on the back of the next, about a 1/4" in diameter that is not very noticeable. I tried to take pictures but it barely shows up due to the weave pattern on the neck. There is also a small crack in the clear coat at the neck joint, this is very common on the metal flake finishes, almost every one you find will have this. I recently cleaned all of the pots on the controls, and the volume pot makes a little bit of noise, but not bad at all and could easily be fixed or replaced.

Overall, this bass is a strong 9 out of 10 and sounds and plays like no other. I am only considering selling to get another 4 string since I sold my Warwick. I will consider trades for a older Flea 4 with the Lane Poor Pickup. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, please email me at gibsondesignconcepts@hotmail.com Thanks!

Thats an awesome looking Pedulla, but I want to stay with the Flea, just looking for a Flea 4 with the Lane Poor. Thanks for the offer though!

modulus bass

I have never held nor seen a bass like this in reality because my local music store sells only fender/squier, musicman and some chepo brands like cort and schecter etc.

Can you tell me what's the string spacing on his one? is it similar to a musicman sr5 or is it a bit narrower? I really dig the sr5 string spacing and neck but i dont really dig the sr5 due to it's lack of flexibilty IMHO!!. Narrower string spacings like those on warwicks and spectors don't feel comfortable to me, because i have long fingers.

Anywho, that's a very good looking bass you got there!

Cheers

I believe the string spacing was 19mm on my flea 5. It is one of the easiest necks to play, and the only reason I sold it was to get a flea 4!

If you get the chance, definitely play one!

I have this same bass, but a 4, same silver pimpy glitter etc, these are awesome instruments period.
This price for this model and the add on's is nothing short of a sweet deal.

I've only had 3 Mods, but every one was nothing short of beyond my expectations.
