I just don't play this bass very often. It's a very nice bass as far as acoustic basses go, but I think it's just not my thing.
Full disclosure: this bass has had a couple of problems professionally repaired. First, when I bought it, the back seam had separated slightly -- apparently a pretty common problem with these. Then, when it was being shipped to me, the headstock snapped nearly clean off. I had both issues addressed by my repair guys, who I think are among the best in Chicago, and they did an amazing job.
You'd never know the headstock was broken -- there's no seam to feel or visual evidence at all. You can still see/feel a slight seam on the back of the bass where the seam separated because I didn't feel like spending a ton more money on the cosmetics of a part of the bass that generally sits against your body, but it's solidly reglued. I spent around $500 to have this work done right. Check out the photos below, and I can also send pics of the busted headstock for comparison if you're morbid like that.
The bass has a couple of the standard nicks and dings that you'd expect from eight years of service -- I've tried to capture a few in the pictures below, but there are probably other similar marks. Nothing major that you could see from more than a couple feet away.
It has the LR Baggs pickup, and the serial number indicates it was made in 2003, which makes it "pre-Fender". No idea if that means much, but people seem to like the pre-Fender stuff better. Original case is included, with some usage wear on the outside.
I'm looking for
(was $680 shipped in the CONUS, now sold) for this bass. I generally have no problem shipping internationally, but the case is so huge that I think it would be over the size limit for USPS, and would be very expensive. Local pickup in Chicago is welcome, and of course I'll knock the cost of shipping off of the price.
Here are some pictures; let me know if you have any questions.
