2004 Rickenbacker 4003 in Fireglo

Like-new 2004 Rickenbacker 4003 bass in fireglo $1375 plus shipping. Plays great, all original components, no modifications. Kept in smoke-free environment; only been out of the house for two practices. No damage, nicks, or wear except some of the lettering around the "Ric-O-Sound" (stereo) input jack has disappeared (fairly common, apparently, for some reason). Like all 4003s, has dual pickups, separate tone and volume controls for each pickup, three-position pickup selector switch, binding around front of body and around fingerboard, triangle inlays, made in U.S. This is a wonderful bass, but I have some hand and finger problems and have to stick to playing short-scale basses (this is the second time I have tried a long-scale bass and had to hang it up). Not a thin neck, but not a monster, either. Pretty much falls in the middle for Ric basses, according to other players. This, like all Rics, has a 33" scale. Original hard-shell case included. Will include Ric strap and a new unopened set of Ric bass strings. Not interested in trades (I have 3 kids in college and need the cash). I will drive a reasonable distance from Knoxville, Tennessee to meet a buyer, so you can see it in person and save shipping if you would prefer.

PM sent.

I had been planning on adding a 5-string EBMM to my collection, but...well...you guys know how it is. I'm pretty sure it's a disease. I don't know if they have a name for it, but it's nasty. Mustbuythatbassitis, perhaps.

TB may eventually lead to me selling off my first-born son. Which forum do I list him under?
