2005 American Vintage Jazz

American vintage '62 reissue jazz bass. serial # v150xxx. This bass has been played. If your not worried about showroom looks this bass may be for you. Absolutley nothing wrong with this bass. The nitro finish has been replaced with tung oil finish on the neck and the finish has been taken off the part of the body shown. Both parts are baby butt smooth. No this is not a relic job gone wrong, the previous owner was going to refinish it but decided not to finish the job. I feel the price reflects the "defects". I paid about $100 more than i'm asking. Comes with pickup amd bridge covers, thumb rest, foam mutes, vintage strap and will ship in a fair condition black molded fender case.

No international unless you have a track record on talkbass. I'm really surprised this has gotten as little attention as it has. It plays and sounds as good as one that looks nicer.....no kidding.

how much would you think it would cost to fix the sanding job on the body and fix the neck finish? do you entertain trades at all?

have no idea about cost of fixing the sand job. My guess is you would have to have the whole body refinished if you wanted it to look uniform. This is a players bass, not for display purposes. I assure you it's only cosmetic and does not effect playability at all. The neck does not need fix'in the tung oil finish feels great.
