Arrow 2008 Fender American Standard Jazz 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Olympic white. Tortoiseshell pickguard. Alder and maple with rosewood board.

High mass bridge with standard and through-body stringing. 34" scale. Stock passive VVT set up. Fender lightweight tuners. Great playability and low action. Excellent b-string. As good as 34" scale gets.

Excellent condition overall. Some small dings or imperfections in the wood on the bottom towards the back. I can't get them to show up in pictures. Some minor scratching on the pick up covers from the strings. Nothing major.

Comes with a Deluxe Fender padded gigbag or a Fender molded ATA hardcase.

$840 shipped to the 48 with the gigbag.
$875 shipped to the 48 with the OHSC.

I got a Fender American standard Jazz 5 yesterday with a maple fretboard which is what I was really after in the first place when I happened upon this. Please, no trades for basses. I might be into a lightweight head +cash though... 20 lbs or so or less. At least 300W into 8 Ohms.

PM me.

Any idea why this has the 4+1 headstock? Most Fenders have 5 in a line. Just curious...

It is what it is.

This is the third American standard 08 jazz V I've had. They are all like that.

I've had jazz deluxe's and a precision deluxe that were 5 in a line. Not sure how they are now. EDIT: They are still 5 in a line according to musician's friend website.

Will do but I'm good for basses, thanks.

Trade options updated in original post.

You can get a single piece of paper in the bass side but not the treble side. Two pieces go in about a centimeter and then it gets too tight. That said, the neck is very secure and doesn't move.

Thanks! that's tight enough for me. I personally don't believe neck pocket's don't need to be super tight for any tonal gain to happen, and even if it did, it would have to be so tight that the neck and body couldn't be taken apart and put together after construction. To me its just purely aesthetic.

My lakland 55-02 and my Sadowsky uV70 are up for sale. if they sell, i'll be contacting you.

Thanks,
Joash
