2008 Fender Jazz Vintage White/Tort guard/RW Neck

Sign in to disble this ad
Purchased this a little over a month ago from a fellow TB'er, but alas, my priorities have shifted and I am in need of funding another 5-string. The bass is in the same shape that I got it, which is better than most basses you'll find at your local music store. I've played it for about 2 hours tops.

Last one in, first to go...

Here is a link to the original sale page:

'08 Jazz Bass

Bass will ship in Fender Gigbag.

Asking only what I paid, which is $325 shipped to CONUS.

For an additional $85 more, I can drop in a custom varitone circuit available in another ad I posted (link below):

Fender Jazz - Custom Varitone Circuit

If you choose to purchase the varitone with the bass, I will include the original control plate with the purchase.

So, to summarize:

2008 MIM Fender in Aged Vintage White with Tort pickguard and Rosewood neck: $325 Shipped to CONUS

Bass above with custom varitone circuit (a $135 value!!!) $410 Shipped to CONUS

I forgot to add that I will entertain trades for this bass +/- varitone circuit.

Don't know what I want, but need (in order of preference):
  • Small heads (Markbass, Genz-Benz Shuttle, etc..)
  • Normal rack mount heads (SWR, Ampeg, GK)
  • 5-string basses (active or passive; prefer 19 mm spacing and 34" scale, but will consider others...)

Since I'm really not in a position to add cash, please take the asking prices into consideration for your potential trade.

Thanks!

No. I had it up for grabs separately.

Originally an active setup? What's involved with changing this back to active from passive?

Unfortunately, the bass was passive when I obtained it. I don't have the original active electronics that came with it.

I am, however, offering the custom varitone Jazz circuit ($135 value!) for an additional $100 which will widen your tonal possibilities...Heck, I'll even install it free of charge (and include the original passive electronics as well!).

Okay,

Based on the interest I've gotten, I've taken some pics; link is here:

http://s988.photobucket.com/albums/a...Fender%20Jazz/

For full disclosure:
  • There are three small (less than 1 mm each) paint chips on the bass side of the neck pocket. Bass was received in this condition, but just wanted to point it out. Tried to photograph them.
  • There is a photo which shows the non-functional original stock jack (from its' former life as an active bass) with the current jack on the faceplate.

Keep the trade offers coming!
