With the new baby home, I'm only keeping my two Sadowskys. So, my final bass to sell is a killer 2009 Kubicki Ex-Factor in great condition in a pearlescent blue/purple.
Kubicki basses are getting harder to find and most that do come up for sale are 20+ years old or Fender models. Here's a chance to own one that is only 7 months old! It was one of the last two that Phil finished before moving his shop from California.
The finish is a beautiful dark pearlescent blueish/purple that was nearly impossible to photograph, so I apologize if some look black in the pictures.
There are a few small areas on the rear and one next to the jack where the finish was touched up. The previous owner said that he had Kubicki do the the touch-up work. Hardly a concern to me, but in the interest of full disclosure, there you go. When taking the new pictures, I did find a small section of what looks like belt buckle rash on the edge below the electronics cavity. You can see it in the pics. I know the previous owner did a few gigs with the bass. Definitely nothing more than normal use, but I tried to clearly show everything.
This sold for $3300 direct from Kubicki in August 2009. I got it for a great deal when the previous owner had to move it, so I will pass the deal along to a fellow TB'er. $2175 shipped & insured within the continental US

Man, what a colour! I'm sure the photos don't do it justice but even so it looks beautiful. I'm after a fretless (well, I will be later this year when I have the £££/$$$) but I hope this one finds a good home soon! Damn decent price for such a new bass.

As a former ex-factor owner, and someone who has recently bought a bass from berklee46, I'd say this is a great purchase. If I had any irresponsibility left in me, this would be mine. Best drop D system ever. Really cool 33 ply neck.
As a NH resident, I am curious where Phil is moving to in NH. Anyone know?

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you're still enjoying the Brubaker.
When I talked with Phil last month, he had already moved and was around the Winnipesaukee area. I'm not sure if he's going the Walter Woods route and trying to keep his info low key, or if he just hasn't updated his site with any new information, but until he does, I'll leave it with just a general area.
I've had lots of questions about the finish and will try to take some better photos tonight or tomorrow morning after I get out of work. It shows up best when the light hits it and with the dreary Boston winter, the lack of sunlight makes photographing the bass tough.
The pictures I've done using the flash or inside lights to reflect off the bass makes for somewhat ugly pictures, but will shows the color a bit better so I'll apologize now for the quality of the pictures that I'll end up posting tomorrow.
If anyone has a particular photo they want, just let me know.
Here are some pics taken with the flash trying to show the color of the bass. I know the flash ruins the pictures, but it's the only way to make the bass *not* look black...In person it has a bit more of a purpleish look to it when the light hits it, but hopefully this gives a better idea what the bass looks like.
