Hello, all. I am selling my ’63 Nash Jazz bass. I bought this at Bass Northwest last year and have loved playing it. Great craftsmanship, great tone, GREAT feeling neck. Lollar pickups and Medium Relic. The Rosewood board and the fretwork are to die for. Super-straight neck, low action and no buzzes that I can find. This bass has a really, really nice low-mid bite to it. Also. It is a sustain monster! It is one of those that will just hold on to a note until you let go of it. It has worn flats pretty much all of its life and fret wear is near minimal. Another thing that I love about it are the big, fat vintage frets that Bill uses in his construction. It is currently strung up with a set of perfectly broken in DR Legend flats, which I think compliment this bass to a “T.” I can put on a brand new set of Sadowsky Blues if you wish. Your choice. She weighs in at 10 lbs on Bass Northwest’s scale.
The ONLY reason that I am selling this is because that I have found that the Jazz Bass does not ergonomically fit my body. Sad, but true. I sure do love that sexy look. I have cross-graded to a Sadowsky HPJ right now and am pretty happy with it. The Precision body just nestles right in there.
More pictures upon request.
$1300
Thanks,
Jeff
