This is a 2009 Standard Precision, Lake Placid Blue, with maple fretboard. Has all the '09 upgrades. I played more than a dozen samples before I bought this one, it is PERFECT in every way. Not a mark on it anywhere, and the neck and fretwork are just awesome. I have several American Fenders and this rivals any of them.
Tuners and bridge are solid, no problems at all. I had planned to change out the pickup, but there was no need, this one is just fine and sounds like a P-bass should. Having played so many I know how exceptional this one is.
Weight is 8.8 pounds. Bass is completely stock except for the addition of Straploks and a Fender brand white pearl pickguard. I also have the original parchment pickguard and a black Allparts p/g, AND a Levys black suede strap with Straploks, all included.
The bass was professionally set up by Renson Guitar in Studio City, CA and is currently strung with 6 month old D'Addario Chromes flatwounds. They have broken in prefectly and sound amazing.
