This is a beautiful bass in mint condition. I'm just not playing much at all and it makes no sense in having so much cash tied up in music gear.
The bass is like new. As you can see in the photos I still have all the case candy. I am the second owner and it came to me in near perfect condition. This was a special edition offered up in 2010. Black finish has copper sparkles in it. The neck is finished with a gloss finish. Fretboard is ebony. The neck is "roasted" meaning it was heat treated as part of the curing process. Supposedly adds responsiveness. I don't know if it was the roasting or the particular combination of materials but the bass feels great and is very resonant. Only 3 of the four string single humbucker versions were produced so it is a bit of a rare bird. These were originally offered with a black pickguard. The previous owner swapped it for a tort guard (which I prefer as well). Unfortunately the original guard disappeared into post office world.
