2012 Ken Smith BT6 White Tiger Elite-For Sale Feeler
Hello,
I'm thinking of selling this bass I bought new and received March 2012. I'm trying to learn bass and think that this might be a bit much to handle all things considered. While this is a White Tiger model, the wood I choose is a bit different than what Ken normally puts on these models. I wanted a wider flame to the maple rather than the "washboard" look of the other White Tigers, in essence to give this bass a true "tiger look" The woodgrain is iridescent, so the color of the bass lightens or darkens depending on the viewing angle. Ken Smith chose this wood from a stash he purchased in the 1980s. This bass sounds fantastic...very tight, punchy, and articulate. The new street price for this bass with the options I added is $7,100. Considering selling for $5,400. It's mint/new condition as I've only messed with it around the house to practice. I'll post more pictures later as the wood is more figured than what this picture captures. No trades please. Thanks
(1) 7-Piece body (Walnut Core)
(2) 7-Piece neck
(3) Macassar ebony fretboard and headstock
(4) Black hardware

I didn't say I didn't like the bass. I actually love it and that's the reason I wasn't sure I wanted to sell it. However, it is a big bass and so goIng from the Smith to some other smaller 5 strings is a material difference in feel. If I were an actual bass player with established techniques and such, the bass would not be listed here. It's killer!
